Agenda

Wednesday, 3 May / 19.00-21.00 / Tbilisi Biltmore Hotel, Guild Room, 2nd floor

Panel Discussion on “Fake News in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (AI):  Where the Hell Do We Go From Here”
with Prof. Leslie Szamosi, Director of the Pan-European Executive MBA

Overview:
Although it has been with us since the early 19th century, “fake news” has taken on a life of its own over the last ten years.  As humans, we are naturally drawn to sensationalism and this creates opportunities for spreading misinformation that helps to further one’s opinion or discredit that of someone else.  Today, when confronted with information that does not match ones perspective it is immediately branded as “fake news”.  What is different today than from ten years ago is ready access to Artificial Intelligence (AI) which can be used to ‘fact check’.  But AI is only as good as the information it can process.  So who is ‘correct’ and where do we go from here?

In our “meet the experts” panel, we are going to debate and discuss the future of news and information dissemination in the era of AI.  We are going to reassess and debate from whom we can ‘trust’ the information we receive and how we can get to the ‘truth’.

Thursday, 4 May / 19.00-21.00 / Tbilisi Biltmore Hotel, Guild Room, 2nd floor

Open MBA Class/Workshop on “Managing Employees and Interfacing with Customers in a Post-Pandemic World”
with Prof. Leslie Szamosi, Director of the Pan-European Executive MBA

Overview:
The pandemic is forcing, and has forced, organizations to rethink how they deal with their two most important stakeholders: employees and customers. This seminar will look towards holistically integrating these two perspectives. While employees are seeking various forms of alternative work arrangements (F2F; online; hybrid), customers are seeking safer and more effective ways of doing their interactions with suppliers. Each of these stakeholder perspectives will be analysed and specific suggestions provided on how organizations can move forward and be proactive in the future.

Friday, 5 May / 12.00-14.00 / Tbilisi Biltmore Hotel, Meeting Room 4
