The International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, CITY College was honoured to host the annual AMBA Accreditation Managers Forum. The event took place on September 26 and 27 in Bucharest and marked the first time this important event was held in South-Eastern Europe. Mr. George Efstathiadis, Executive MBA Program Director of the International Faculty, welcomed all the participants on behalf of the Faculty and the University of Sheffield.
The Forum was an outstanding and informative AMBA event, key to all managers and administrators of the accreditation process as well as those new to accreditation and those involved with re-accreditation. AMBA representatives and renowned external speakers discussed the structure and intricacies of the accreditation process, the requirements of a successful accreditation submission, data gathering, report writing, self-auditing, raising the support of academic and senior staff along with many more topics. Dr. Leslie Szamosi, MBA Academic Director of the International Faculty and Prof. Christian Tangkjær of the Copenhagen Business School, both members of the Faculty of Assessors of AMBA, co-presented the session on maximizing the chances of accreditation success. The Forum also offered an excellent platform to network and exchange accreditation tips and good practice with around nearly 50 participants from around 20 countries participating.
